Background and Education

Born and raised in Edwardsville, I'm proud to call it my hometown--GO TIGERS! After graduating in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education/Language Arts degree, I took my first teaching job in Houston, Texas. In 2001, I moved back to Edwardsville and began teaching at Edwardsville High School. I have since earned a Master of Science in Education/Educational Adminstration degree from SIUE and continue to enjoy teaching and learning.

In addition to serving on the ECUSD7 Language Arts Curriculum Committee, I like reading, spending time with my family, and traveling. I love to tell my students about the literary study tour I took in England, especially when we're studying Shakespeare!

I look forward to the opportunities and excitement each new school year brings. I'm certain this year will be great!
